Angels from heaven came for Dora Foote of Mason City, Iowa on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Hospice of North Iowa to take her home. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 with a one hour prior visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N Adams Ave., Mason City. Dora was born on April 28, 1965 in Mason City to Victor and Mary Lopez. She graduated from Newman High School, class of 1983. She was a very proud Newman Knight. After graduation Dora earned a two year degree in computer science. After earning this degree she enlisted in the Navy. She served for several years and was stationed in Hawaii and Florida. She traveled a lot while in the Navy, also spending time in Korea, the Philippines, and Japan. In her free time she enjoyed watching football, especially the Denver Broncos and Florida State. One thing she loved more then football was the Holy Family Trinity Church. It was very important to her, she was married there and her children were baptized there. She also loved her three little dogs. Dora was the kind of person that knew how to make everyone laugh; she will be remembered as the person not to judge and to be able to love anyone that crossed her path. She was always smiling and laughing- always radiating positive vibes. Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Antonio Evans, Jacob Evans, Faustina Foote, and Denver Foote; grandson, Chance Nicholson; parents, Victor and Mary Lopez; siblings, Marcus Lopez, Susan Lopez, Victor Jr. (Tiffany) Lopez, and Robert Lopez; her significant other, Brain McDaid; and several nieces and nephews.
